Drought in the West, 1930s. The Curry family's cattle are dying, and their daughter Lizzie — plain, practical, pushing thirty — isn't doing much better. Her father and brothers have tried everything to marry her off. Nothing's worked. Then a stranger rolls in with a smile and a promise: for a hundred dollars, he'll make it rain. He's a con man, obviously. But he's also the first person who's ever looked at Lizzie and seen something she couldn't see in herself. A romantic comedy about what happens when someone believes in you before you're ready to.
