Old School.
Always a New Story.

Our stage is a 130-year-old schoolhouse tucked into historic downtown Louisville, Colorado. We moved in as the building's founding resident theater company back in 1998, and we've never looked back. Here's a little about the place we call home, and how to find us when you're ready to visit.

The Louisville Center for the Arts

This old schoolhouse went up in 1894 to teach the children of Louisville's coal miners. The city turned it into an arts center in 1990, and after renovations wrapped in 1997, we moved in the following year. We've called her home ever since.

These days she's the cultural heartbeat of town, hosting classes, events, and even the occasional play. Inside, there are refinished hardwood floors, high ceilings, original exposed brick, and tall windows that let in that bright Colorado sunshine. We've got about 55 seats, and not a bad one in the house.

She's listed on the Louisville Register of Historic Places, and we've worked alongside the City to keep her thriving for almost three decades. We're proud to be part of her story.
