Coal Creek Community Theater presents
the Regional Premiere of
Shakespeare Incorporated
by Don Fried
Directed by Lynn Fleming
What if the greatest writer in the English language couldn't actually write? Christopher Marlowe and Edward De Vere need a front man for their theatrical business venture, and they've found the perfect rube: a dim, talentless social climber named William Shaksper. He just has to smile, sign his name, and keep his mouth shut. But as the money rolls in, Shaksper starts wanting a bigger cut — and creative control. His partners decide there's only one way out. A gleefully irreverent romp through every Shakespeare conspiracy theory you've ever heard, played for all it's worth.
Run Time - 2 hours and 10 minutes with one 15-minute intermission
