Coal Creek Community Theater
in Collaboration with Theater Company of Lafayette presents
A Tuna Christmas
by Ed Howard, Joe Sears & Jaston Williams
Directed by Nita Froelich
Christmas Eve in Tuna, Texas — the third-smallest town in the state. Vera Carp has won the yard display contest fourteen years running, but a mysterious "Christmas Phantom" is vandalizing decorations all over town. The local theater's production of A Christmas Carol can't pay its electric bill. The Tastee Kreme waitresses are stuck working the holiday shift. And radio station OKKK is broadcasting it all. Two actors. Twenty-two characters. More costume changes than anyone can count. Equal parts love letter and poison pen letter to small-town Texas, performed at a dead sprint with wigs flying.
Run Time – 1 hours & 45 minutes with one 10-minute intermission

Nancy is pleased to work with the Tuna boys and Nita again in this reprisal of A Tuna Christmas. This is Nancy's first experience working with Coal Creek Theatre. She has been seen on the stage most recently with Spotlight Theatre in Arsenic and Old Lace, A Murder is Announced, and Moon Over Buffalo. Also, at Miner's Alley she played in The American Dream; and with Morrison Theatre (Miner's Alley's previous home) in Twelve Angry Jurors and High Crimes and Misdemeanors. Look for Nancy and Nita in Your Dilly Dilly Heart in January with Celebrationworks, and as Sister Mary Ignatius in March at the Vintage Theatre.

Susan has been involved with Theater Company of Lafayette for four years. She has been on stage, and off stage. It has been a pleasure and fun working with such a talented director, the cast and crew. Enjoy your visit to Tuna, Texas.

Brian is delighted to be working again with pretty much everyone involved in this production. He most recently designed scenery and lighting for Den of Thieves for the Vintage Theater and lighting for The Man Who Never Died for ARCH at the Harlequin Theater here in Lafayette. Prior to that, he designed lighting for both CCCT's most recent production of Voice of the Prairie and TCL's Return to the Twilight Zone, which both opened on the same night in October. Brian serves on the Board of Directors for Theater Company of Lafayette, and is the technical director and resident lighting designer for the John Hand Theater in Denver.
-
Russ serves on the board of CCCT and has been involved in numerous productions, both as an actor and technician.
-
Chris has designed sets for 10,000 Wayniacs, Absurd Person Singular, Voice of the Prairie and Twilight Zone among others. She holds a BA in Theater from UNC.
-
Sarah has worked behind the scenes for TCL for many years, just concluding work on Twilight Zone. She paints murals for a living and finds that her theater work is a fun way to share that talent.
