Andrew Rally has the perfect New York apartment, a gorgeous girlfriend, and an offer to play Hamlet in Central Park. There's just one problem: he hates Hamlet. He's a TV actor. He likes TV. Shakespeare makes him want to crawl out of his skin. Then a séance in his living room summons the ghost of John Barrymore — legendary actor, legendary drunk, legendary ladies' man — who appears in full Shakespearean regalia and refuses to leave until Andrew accepts the role. A sword fight ensues. So does a crisis of artistic conscience. A love letter to the theater, to the ego, and to the question every actor eventually faces: to be, or not to be... serious.
