Coal Creek Community Theater presents

Working

Based on “Working” by Studs Terkel
Book by
Stephen Schwartz & Nina Faso
Music & Lyrics by
Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Mary Rodgers, James Taylor & Susan Birkenhead
Directed by Jim Kimbrough

Based on Studs Terkel's book of interviews with everyday Americans talking about what they do for a living. No plot, just people: the steelworker, the waitress, the teacher counting days to retirement, the housewife who's tired of apologizing for what she does. One by one, they step forward to tell you what the job asks of them and what they've made of it. With songs by Stephen Schwartz, James Taylor, and more, Working is a powerful portrait of working life that's proud, weary, wry, and deeply human.

Run Time - 2 hours with one 10-minute intermission
