Truvy's Beauty Salon in small-town Louisiana, where the ladies come for haircuts and stay for everything else. There's Shelby, the prettiest girl in town, getting ready for her wedding despite diabetes that makes doctors nervous. Her mother M'Lynn, trying not to worry out loud. Clairee, the mayor's widow. Ouiser, who's been in a bad mood for forty years. Over shampoos and rollers, they trade gossip, insults, and the kind of truth you can only tell your closest friends. Then life does what life does, and you find out what these women are actually made of. Funny until it breaks your heart, then funny again.
Run Time - 2 hours and 30 minutes with one 15-minute intermission
