Coal Creek Theater of Louisville presents
Outside mullingar
by John Patrick Shanley
Directed by Dan Schock
Anthony and Rosemary are neighbors on adjoining farms in rural Ireland, both pushing forty, both achingly alone. He's spent his whole life tending cattle, too painfully shy to reach for anything more. She's spent her whole life watching him through the window, determined to have him, watching the years slip away. When Anthony's father threatens to leave the farm to American cousins and an old land feud flares up between the families, Rosemary decides it's now or never. From the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Doubt comes a poetic, bittersweet romance — part Irish melancholy, part Moonstruck magic — about two eccentric souls fighting their way toward love.
Run Time – 2 hours with one 10-minute intermission

Renee is thrilled to be helping with this wonderful show. Previously seen at CCTL in Enchanted April and Dancing at Lughnasa, she enjoys all things theater and has a deep appreciation for everything that has to happen behind the scenes to keep a show moving for the audience. Thank you, our audience for the chance to move you. We appreciate your support of live theater!

Sage acted in Sherlock Holmes and the Masters of Crime and The Twilight Zone Volume X at the Theater Company of Lafayette. She has also been stage manager/assistant director for several Coal Creek productions, including And Then There Were None, Enchanted April, Incorruptible, and Blessed Assurance.

Coal Creek's Technical Advisor, Chuck recently retired from his secondary career, a 30 year gig as the Technical Director at Northglenn High School, where he designed and built nearly 100 sets as he imparted the "art of science to the science of art" and shared his experience with many young minds and hearts. Meanwhile, Chuck has designed and/or helped build several sets for CCTL, including such beauties as Steel Magnolias, On Golden Pond, On Borrowed Time, and And Then There Were None.

Keegan is happy to be involved with another production with CCTL. Previously they have designed lights for Blessed Assurance, Incorruptible, and Enchanted April. They also stage manage and design lights for a few theaters across the Denver Metro area and design sound for the Colorado Renaissance Festival. Enjoy the show!

Kirsten designed her first show in the third grade when she made all the costumes for "The Little Red Hen." She has since costumed many stage productions, a few films and received awards for individual wardrobe/fashion designs. She would like to thank Dan for his patience, Kathy for her help, and Howard for putting up with her.

Kathleen is putting on another theater "hat" for this show. Usually, her costume design is on display; the last two shows, Blessed Assurance and Over the River and Through the Woods featured her designs. Her set decoration for The Nerd also won a Louie Award. Irish shows have a dear place in her heart because her grandparents, from lovely Arranmore island, told many grand stories about characters much like these people. Enjoy your trip to Ireland!
