Coal Creek Theater of Louisville presents
The 12th Front Range Playwrights Showcase
Original Works by Merriman Wilde, Louis Irwin & Scott Gibson
Directed by Kirsten Jorgensen Smith, Rob Leary & Rob Mess
This is where new Colorado theater begins—raw, unfinished, and full of possibility. Local playwrights bring brand-new work to the stage for the first time. Actors and directors workshop the scripts in real time. Audiences witness theater in progress and help shape what comes next. Stories being born, right here in front of you.
The Front Range Playwrights Showcase
Since 2007, Coal Creek Theater has supported Colorado playwrights through the Front Range Playwrights Showcase. Here, we provide opportunities to workshop, develop, and stage new work.

A man and a woman he hasn't seen since they graduated from high school meet for coffee at his invitation. They share sketchy outlines of how their lives turned out after high school - rocky for both for them, but especially for her. Then he tells her of a particular impact she had had on him, of which she was totally unaware. They part, with a promise that he will get in touch with her the next time he is in town. When he calls her upon his return six months later, he learns the final, shocking consequence of the pivotal experience they had shared when they were fifteen.
