Elderly couple Ethel and Norman Thayer return to their summer home on Golden Pond for their 48th year. Norman, a sharp but aging retired professor, and Ethel, his warmhearted wife, navigate life’s changes with humor and love. When their daughter leaves her fiancé’s teenage son with them for the summer, the unexpected bond between Norman and the boy brings joy, reflection, and a fresh perspective. As summer fades, so does their time together, but their enduring love offers hope for another season on Golden Pond.
