Jacob has twelve sons. He likes Joseph best. He gives him a fancy coat to prove it. This does not go over well. What follows is the Biblical tale of jealousy, betrayal, slavery, dreams, and a seriously stylish rise to power in Egypt - told through country-western, calypso, French chanson, and a Pharaoh who thinks he's Elvis. It's one of the first collaborations from the team that would later bring you Evita and Cats, and it's been delighting audiences of all ages for years.
