Coal Creek Theater of Louisville presents

Escanaba in Da Moonlight

by Jeff Daniels
Directed by Kirsten Jorgensen Smith

When the Soady clan gathers at their Upper Peninsula deer camp for opening day, thirty-five-year-old Reuben carries a shameful distinction: he's the oldest Soady man in family history never to bag a buck. As he tries desperately to break the curse, the night spirals into chaos involving backwoods whiskey, UFO sightings, and possession by ancestral spirits. Written by Jeff Daniels for his Purple Rose Theatre, it's a wild love letter to Yooper culture that'll leave you laughing till your sides ache.

Content Advisory - Adult themes, profanity
Run Time -
1 hour & 45 minutes, with one 15-minute intermission
