Coal Creek Theater of Louisville presents
Shining City
by Conor McPherson
Directed by Paul Wells
Dublin. Ireland. A man named John walks into a therapist's sparse office, terrified: he's seen the ghost of his wife, killed weeks earlier in a car crash. His new therapist Ian — a former priest who's abandoned the church, his faith, and the mother of his child — has demons of his own. Over the course of a year, their sessions become a gripping excavation of guilt, grief, and the unfinished business we carry with the dead. McPherson's Tony-nominated masterwork is quietly devastating, blending the natural and supernatural into something that will haunt you long after its heart-stopping final moment.
Run Time – 1 hour & 30 minutes with one 10-minute intermission

Anna is honored to have been asked to assistant direct on this wonderful production. Her last directing experience was at Longmont Theater Company, as Assistant Director to Rob Mess on Other Desert Cities last spring. She has mostly worked on stage since she came to the Denver area six years ago. Anna has worked with Spotlight, Three Leaches, Creative Revolution, Upstart Crow, Longmont Theater Company, and Theater Company of Lafayette. She was most recently seen as Eva in TCL's collaborative production of Absurd Person Singular with Coal Creek Theater in Louisville. She would like to thank her dear friend, Paul, for letting her come on board to help and for one last dose of theater before she moves to New Zealand!!
