Coal Creek Theater of Louisville presents
Rope
by Patrick Hamilton
Directed by Dan Schock
Mayfair, London, 1929. Wyndham Brandon and Charles Granillo have just strangled a fellow Oxford student named Ronald Kentley—not for money, not for revenge, but for the thrill of proving they're clever enough to get away with it. They stuff the body in a wooden chest. Then they throw a dinner party. The guests include Ronald's unsuspecting father. The buffet is served on top of the chest. As the evening unfolds in nerve-shredding real time, one guest—a sharp-tongued poet named Rupert Cadell—begins to sense that something is terribly wrong. Inspired by the infamous Leopold and Loeb case, Hamilton's 1929 thriller is a cold-blooded game of cat and mouse where the killers hold all the cards—until they don't.
Run Time – 2 hours with one 15-minute intermission

Michelle is excited to join Coal Creek Theatre again! A long-time Hitchcock fan, it is a pleasure to serve this Director and Cast. With a dusty degree in Performing Arts, Michelle finally returned to the stage in 2018 in Tony and Tina's Wedding as Jose Vitale. She proudly worked with M. Shane Grant in 2019 as a trans woman in 1936 in You Can't Take It With You as Mr. DePinna. Also in 2019, Michelle had a great time as Mabel Franklin in A Fatal Fifties Affair with Moon Theatre Co. Spring, 2022, she joined the production of Coal Creek's Epic Proportions as part of the Ensemble. Michelle recently served as Director for Moon Theatre Co for four years, where she was a jack of all trades. Working with the immense talent at Coal Creek has been a sincere pleasure! From costumes, to making props, set up and Stage Managing, Michelle's heart is, and always has been, in the Theatre.

Biz works at several community theaters in Colorado. She's been a set builder, scenic painter, prop builder, and pretty much everything else over the years. She would like to thank Dan for many fun hours running around killing things, and her HUSBAND Gov Landrum for putting up with theater craziness for all of their lives.

Kathleen has costumed many shows at CCTL. Favorite mainstage shows have been Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, And Then There Were None, Dancing at Lughnasa, and The Importance of Being Earnest for which she won Best Costume Design along with Best Costume Design for The Savannah Sipping Society and a Louie for Epic Proportions last season. Kathy also won a Costume Design Award at the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition Festival for Working. Kathy would like to thank the cast and crew for their dedication and cooperation. She hopes you enjoy our show and "thanks for supporting local theater!"

Jan has been on stage here at CCTL as Irma in Picnic, Penny in You Can't Take It With You; and backstage for many shows. She was recently awarded a Louie for Best Stage Manager for last season's award winning Of Mice and Men. This time around she is happy to work again with Kathleen on costumes and with Peg for properties. CCTL is a theater company of supportive and hard-working folks. It's a privilege to be here. Enjoy the show!

Gary is making his first appearance as a crew member with Coal Creek Theater, or anywhere. He previously was onstage as the Boss in Of Mice and Men and as General MacKenzie in And Then There Were None. He has worked onstage in the Denver metro area for eighteen years now and hopes to continue that part of his career for a while yet. He wants to thank the Coal Creek family, and especially Dan, for thinking of him to help with this show, and the cast for being good listeners and, by the way, amazing actors!

“**BRAVO!** Thank you for another fine CCTL production. Everyone was superb in their roles.
